The overall objective of the Trade Facilitation Platform training is to facilitate the adoption and the implementation of the platform by all the Agency stakeholders who are end users of the system and meet the KenTrade stakeholders’ training needs so as to eliminate the obstacles that may be hindering the implementation and use of the System.

Trader Module

The trader module training content includes Unique Consignment Reference Number, Import Declaration Form, / Base Documents, Consignment Document, Local Certificate of Conformity inspection, Customs Security Bonds, Master Document and Payments.

The objective of the Trader module training is to enable the:

a.     Clearing agents, Exporters and Importers to appreciate the functionality and the benefits of the single window system and gain knowledge and skills to use the system without challenges.

b.    Customs Agents, Exporters and Importers understand how to apply and track approval for applications submitted (MD, CD, UCR, IDF, KEBS inspection//local inspection process, pre-payments, deferred payments in single window and normal payments through National Payment Gateway. (NPG)

c.     Agency get feedback from the Customs Agents, Exporters and Importers concerning area that needs to be reviewed in the system in regard to the current procedures.
