Course Description and Content

The training is module based designed to equip the trainee with the relevant knowledge, Skills and compliances to enable them to use the Kenya Trade Facilitation Module. One of the Kenya Trade Facilitation Platform modules is:

 1.    Trader Module

The trader module training content includes Unique Consignment Reference Number, Import Declaration Form, / Base Documents, Consignment Document, Local Certificate of Conformity inspection, , Master Document and Payments.

The objective of the trader module is to enable the:

a.     Clearing agents, Exporters and Importers to appreciate the functionality of the Kenya Trade Facilitation Platform and the benefits of the single window

b.    Customs Agents, Exporters and Importers understand how to apply and track approval for applications submitted (MD, CD, UCR, IDF, KEBS inspection//local inspection process, pre-payments, deferred payments in single window and normal payments through National Payment Gateway. (NPG)

c.     Agency get feedback from the Customs Agents, Exporters and Importers concerning area that needs to be reviewed in the system in regard to the current procedures.
